The Department of Physical Education and Sports is involved in various activity
related to students such as participation in sports at District, State Zonal ,Inter-zonal,
National and International levels, Organizing Personality Development Camps, University
sports, Seminars and Experts clinic for students on advance and modern techniques
of sports training and learning each and every year. Special training to elite athletes
as well as special lectures on Career guidance are organized to motivate students.
We have facilities like Health & fitness center, badminton & Table Tennis Halls,
Outdoor play grounds of Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, and Handball Etc.
Under the guidance of Principal Dr. V.A. Patil and Director of Physical
Education and Sports, Asst. Prof. Mr. Sharad.V.Bansode (FIBA International
Referee) our college teams and individual athletes have not only represented
college at University & National level but also represented India in International
events like Olympics, World Championships, Asian Championships, Common wealth Games,
Asian Games etc. such as Miss Radhika Barale an International Shooter, she
has been awarded with most prestigious award of Maharashtra state i.e. Shiv Chatrapati
Krida puraskar for her achievements at World shooting competitions, Asian
competitions, Common wealth games etc. Mr. Kanhaiya Babar an International
Shooter participated at Asian shooting Competitions, Miss Mugadha
Pise represented India in World Championship of Yoga & Rope Malkhamb.
Miss Snehal Bendke participated in London Olympics as a Referee.
Chittesh Mandodi Formula one Car Racer participated and won races at Malaysia,
Dubai and in India. Miss Jaishree Boragi International Athlete
won medal in Mumbai International Marathon. Our Cricketers’ Mr. Shailesh
Bhosale, Mr. Sangram Chavan & Sangram Atitkar have been selected and represented
state in Prestigious Ranji Trophy. Our college sportsmen from Cricket, Basketball,
Shooting, Chess, Badminton, Table tennis, Yoga & Malkhamb are the assets of Shivaji
University as well as the Country who glorified its name at Global level.
Our sportsmen have got placements in Indian Railways, Income Tax department,
Maharashtra Police, Indian Navy, Indian Army, Public, Private as well as Co-operative
Banks, and as Teachers in various Institutes under Sports Quota. The department
of Physical education and Sports make an effort to involve students for maximum
participation in sports, health awareness programs, so as to make career in sports
as well as other related fields, and develop their total personality for the development
of the nation.
